Antonín Kratochvíl – David Bowie, Looking for the Light

9. 5. 2023

The creative meeting was initiated by Detour Magazine in 1997 in New York. The portrait series followed the release of Bowie's Earthling album but the images go far beyond the original purpose. These studies are informal to the point of iconic. The subtitle of the publication, Looking for the Light, is also the title of an essay by Michael Persson, captivatingly evoking the relaxed mood of a one-off photo session. The second text was contributed by Pavlína Vogelová. In addition to the brilliant reproductions, the key to the bibliophilic experience is the design by the publishing team of Michal and Honza Zachariáš.
