Apollo’s Tropic brings together Néphéli Barbas and Martin Herold in a collaborative project exploring space as a site of memory and transformation through painting, objects, and architectural fragments. The exhibition traces how layers of time and human presence become embedded in façades, details, and the marks of everyday use.
The exhibition is accompanied by Skin Replica, a photographic intervention by Lenka Glisníková. Fragments of image data take on a physical form and enter into dialogue with the surrounding space. Through this material translation of photographic information, Glisníková examines the relationship between the photographic image and its physical existence.
During the festival, THE DESIGN will present Apollo’s Tropic, a joint exhibition by Martin Herold and Néphéli Barbas (15 May–11 October). Alongside it, Lenka Glisníková’s Skin Replica (1–11 October) will be presented specifically for Fotograf Festival.
