Nudes (looped), 2025

a sequence of looped videos of a hand touching a flower. The flowers depicted are all in nude shades of lipstick; all are mauve, peach, caramel. Barbara has long been working on a garden dedicated to queerness where she writes poems out of the names of irises. Tamara is mainly focused on corporeality. The collaboration merges the interests of both artists and expresses the sensorial beauty of nature. The work symbolizes that we (queers) are part of nature.

Tamara Conde Crhová

is a Czech artist whose work focuses on corporeality and the boundaries of both physical and imaginary identity. She draws inspiration from the human body, which she transforms into attributes of non-human beings such as fungi or mollusks. While her practice is rooted in painting, she often works with objects and installation. She studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno and has undertaken residencies and exhibited in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Austria.

Barbora Lungová

is a painter and art theorist. She teaches at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno and is pursuing postgraduate studies at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. In her work, she explores the power aspects of representation, patriarchal norms, and queer identity. She also focuses on environmental issues and that is known critical gardening. Her long-term project Rainbow Garden connects queer culture with biodiversity. She has exhibited, among others, at Plato Ostrava, the Slovak National Gallery, and the Brno House of Arts.
