Open Call for Creative AI Projects – FOTOGRAF ZONE AI FORUM

We are looking for projects in the field of AI and art!
Apply for the open call, which aims to select the best projects combining generative artificial intelligence with visual culture. We welcome all genres and diverse forms – from video, moving image, animation, gaming design to artificially generated images or post-produced still photography. We are looking for talent of any age. Do you work with artificial intelligence to create visual content?

Up to five selected projects will have the opportunity to be presented in person or via stream at the FOTOGRAF ZONE AI FORUM conference on November 4 in Prague.
The deadline for the submissions is September 15th, 2025.
Early bird at reduced price are welcome till July 15, 2025.

- Project description + images (description maximum 1 000 characters, all in one file .pdf, max 10 MB)
- E-mail attachments must be properly identified – CV / Portfolio / Project / Name
- Send your projects to email: opencall@fotograf.zone and indicate “CREATIVE EDGE OPEN CALL” in the email subject line
- In case of interest in applying for another project, another application must be submitted
- The participation fee per project is EUR 35 (Early birds: 28 €)

Daria Hvížďalová
AI specialist working at the intersection of AI and education.
She serves as the Director of AI Skills & Learning at 42 London and AI MBA Academic Director at Newton University. Daria supports Creative Edge as Program Director and Co-founder. Her core work focuses on integrating AI into applied and educational projects, bridging technology with business and storytelling. Through her interdisciplinary approach, Daria designs innovative programs and narratives that connect audiences to the transformative potential of AI.

Boris Eldagsen
internationally acclaimed expert on AI-generated images.
Berlin-based artist specialized in photography, conceptual arts and intermedia. He has been using his background in visual arts and philosophy to lecture art, photography and creativity theory at over 20 universities and art schools worldwide. His refusal of the Sony World Photo Awards in April 2023 kicked-off a global debate about the relationship between photography and AI-generated images.

Markéta Kinterová
editor-in-chief of Fotograf magazine and the artistic director of the Fotograf Zone that runs Fotograf Gallery and Fotograf Festival in Prague. She attends a number of international festivals regularly and is a member of the European talent support platform Futures. She has had a number of solo and group exhibitions. Since 2016 she has been the head of the documentary photography studio at FAMU in Prague.

Claudia Larcher
artist, filmmaker, and AI researcher exploring the intersection of photography, artificial intelligence, and materiality. Her work spans video animation, collage, and installation, examining digital humanism, algorithmic images, and the evolving relationship between photography and technology. She has exhibited internationally and is currently a resident at the ARTTEC program at the Austrian Institute of Technology.
